The Learning Boutique brings 1 on 1 With Moxie and Friends directly to your home! This personalized service combines in-home childcare with purposeful play and individualized homeschool learning support for children ages 18 months–6 years old.

With a focus on developing essential life skills, nurturing positive social interactions, and making learning meaningful, each session provides opportunities for your child to learn, explore, practice, and grow at their own pace.

What Makes 1 on 1 With Moxie and Friends Special?

Young children learn through relationships, hands-on experiences, play, and everyday routines. Rather than simply filling the day with activities, we use intentional learning opportunities to support your child's development.

Our focus includes:

Self-Care Skills: Practicing age-appropriate independence through everyday routines and personal care.
Heart Skills: Developing social-emotional and relationship skills, including sharing, taking turns, using kind words, listening, problem-solving, and navigating everyday challenges (done through puppet acts with Moxie and Friends)
Purposeful Play: Engaging in hands-on experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, exploration, and development.

Early Literacy: Weaving books, language, letter sounds, storytelling, and early reading-readiness activities naturally into the schedule. Letters, Numbers and Music, Oh My!
Individualized Learning Support: Adapting activities to your child's age, developmental needs, interests, and learning goals.

Childcare or Homeschool Learning Support—Designed Around Your Child

Whether your family needs in-home childcare or additional support with your homeschool learning routine, 1 on 1 With Moxie and Friends offers purposeful experiences in your child's own home.

For childcare, sessions provide nurturing care alongside activities that encourage independence, social-emotional development, purposeful play, and early learning.

For homeschooling families, sessions can provide additional learning support through hands-on activities, early literacy experiences, purposeful play, and practice with everyday routines and social-emotional skills.

Every child is unique, and our goal is to make each session meaningful, engaging, and appropriate for your child's stage of development.

Parents Stay Connected to the Learning

Your child's learning doesn't have to end when the session is over!

Parents receive a session note describing what we did, what their child had opportunities to learn and practice, and a suggested follow-up activity or experience to continue building those skills at home.

This gives families a helpful way to stay connected to their child's experiences and reinforce learning between sessions.

Service Details, Rates & Scheduling

A personalized service that works with your family's needs.

Ages: 18 months–6 years.
Location: In-home service in the Lansing area.
Rate: $15 per hour, regardless of the number of children in the immediate family.
Minimum booking: Two hours per session, for a minimum booking total of $30.
Scheduling options: Available by appointment on an on-call basis or through a recurring schedule.
Family-size clarification: The $15 hourly rate applies regardless of the number of children in the immediate family. Additional fees apply when care is requested for children who are not siblings.
Session planning: Activities are selected according to the children's ages, interests, learning needs, and the family's goals.
