Service Description

Moxie’s Play to Read is a personalized, one-on-one early reading program designed to help children ages 3–6 build the foundational skills they need to become beginning readers. Children learn through play, hands-on activities, crafts, games, chants, and story time while developing phonological awareness and beginning sound skills. Each week introduces a new sound while reviewing sounds the child has already learned. Every lesson follows a fun and purposeful routine that may include a lesson chant, new concept using the same sound, craft or fine-motor activity, literacy game, story time, and opportunities to build and read words as the child’s skills develop. As children learn more sounds, they begin connecting those sounds to letters and using them to build, blend, and read simple words. The Learning Progression Hear It → Say It → See It → Make It → Use It → Build It → Blend It → Read It Moxie travels with the teacher as the child's playful reading companion, helping make each lesson engaging and memorable. Moxie’s Play to Read makes learning to read practical, playful, and personal—one sound at a time.
