Introducing Rooted in Reading — A Free Reading Program for Young Learners

We’re excited to introduce Rooted in Reading, a free reading program designed to gently and intentionally support children as they begin their journey toward reading.

✨ A Faith-Filled Purpose

At the heart of Rooted in Reading is the belief that reading is a gift.

This program exists to help children develop early reading skills so they can one day read the Bible independently and engage with God’s Word for themselves.

Everything offered—from the lessons to the crafts to the free resources—is created with gratitude and offered to the glory of God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son of the Living God, and the Holy Spirit.

This program provides families and educators with instructional videos, hands-on materials, and free printables that work together to build confidence, consistency, and foundational literacy skills—without pressure.

Below is everything you need to know to get started.

🔤 Letter Focus: /d/ and /s/

The pilot of Rooted in Reading highlights two important beginning sounds:

• Letter sound /d/ with lowercase letter d name recognition

• Letter sound /s/ with lowercase letter s name recognition

These sounds are introduced and reinforced through clear, structured instruction and paired with hands-on learning opportunities that can be used before or after watching the videos.
