Children are naturally curious.
They ask questions adults sometimes overlook:
“Who made the world?”
“Where is Jesus?”
“Why does Jesus love children?”
Curiosity is not a distraction from learning—it is often the beginning of it.
At The Learning Boutique, the Moxie & Me Show was created to make space for those questions.
Through storytelling, conversation, and gentle exploration of scripture, children are invited to wonder, think, and discover.
And at the center of it all is Jesus.

Learning Through Moxie’s Curiosity
Moxie is a three-year-old character who sees the world with wide-eyed wonder. She asks questions many children are thinking but may not know how to say out loud.
Instead of rushing to quick answers, the show allows curiosity to guide the learning moments.
Sometimes Moxie wonders:
Why Jesus loves children
What it means to follow Jesus
How we can love others the way Jesus teaches
These moments open the door to conversations rooted in scripture.
Jesus Himself welcomed the curiosity of children. In Matthew 19:14, He reminds us:
“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
The Moxie & Me Show simply creates a space where children can come with their questions.
Connecting Scripture with Everyday Learning
Faith formation does not have to feel separate from learning.
In fact, some of the most meaningful moments happen in the middle of ordinary discovery.
When children listen to stories, ask questions, explore ideas, and engage with scripture, they begin to see that learning and faith can grow together.
These moments are what we call learning with the heart.
It is not just about remembering words from a page.
It is about understanding who Jesus is and how His teachings guide the way we live.
Salt and Light: Learning What Jesus Teaches
One of the conversations in the Moxie & Me Show explores what Jesus meant when He said His followers are the salt of the earth and the light of the world.
This teaching comes from Matthew 5:13–16, where Jesus explains that His followers bring goodness, truth, and light into the world.
As Moxie wonders about what this means, the discussion naturally introduces children to important heart skills such as:
kindness
empathy
helping others
encouraging friends
making choices that reflect love and truth
These are often called social-emotional skills in education, but they are also deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus.
When children begin to understand what it means to be salt and light, they start to see how small acts of kindness and compassion can make a big difference in the lives of others.
Rooted in Reading: Free Instructional Videos
Alongside the Moxie & Me Show, Rooted in Reading Free Instructional Videos were created to support children as they begin developing early learning and literacy skills.
These videos offer gentle instruction designed to help children:
build confidence in early learning
strengthen listening and comprehension skills
engage with language and storytelling
connect curiosity with discovery
Rather than rushing children into academic pressure, the approach focuses on helping children become rooted in learning.
Just as a plant grows stronger when its roots are deep, children grow stronger when learning is supported by curiosity, patience, and encouragement.
Why Curiosity Matters
Curiosity is often where understanding begins.
When children are free to wonder, they begin to investigate the world around them.
This is also true when learning about faith.
Jesus often taught through questions, stories, and moments that invited people to think deeper.
When Moxie wonders about Jesus, she models something important for children:
It is okay to ask questions.
And those questions can lead us closer to truth.
A Place Where Learning and Faith Meet
The Moxie & Me Show and the Rooted in Reading videos are part of a larger vision for The Learning Boutique—a place where learning supports the whole child.
Here, education is not just about academic skills.
It is also about:
curiosity
character
compassion
and growing in understanding
Children deserve learning environments where both their minds and their hearts can grow.
Join the Learning Moments
If you are a parent, educator, or caregiver, you are invited to explore these learning moments with the children in your life.
Watch the Moxie & Me Show, explore the Rooted in Reading Free Instructional Videos, and allow curiosity to lead the way.
Sometimes the simplest questions can lead to the most meaningful discoveries.
And sometimes those discoveries begin with a curious little character named Moxie asking:
"I wonder…"
