This week, God showed me that my relationship with Him comes before ministry, business, platforms, opportunities, and the opinions of others. Before the work, there is worship. Before the assignment, there is intimacy with the Father. And His love never fails.

Sometimes doing the right thing can feel difficult, especially when others around us are making different choices. In today’s read-aloud, Daniel and the Very Hungry Lions, children will learn about Daniel’s courage, obedience, prayer life, and trust in God even when others opposed him.

This week the Lord has been opening my eyes wider to the importance of truly sharing the Gospel. Not just speaking about Jesus casually, but helping people understand who He really is. I have been realizing that many people know about Jesus because of what someone else has told them, but they do not actually have a personal relationship with Him. Many have never truly opened the Bible for themselves to seek Him and know His heart.

Children are naturally curious. They ask questions adults sometimes overlook: “Who made the world?” “Where is Jesus?” “Why does Jesus love children?” Curiosity is not a distraction from learning—it is often the beginning of it.

Jesus gives us this command in John 13:34 (NIV): “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Have you ever heard a little voice say, “I don’t want to take a nap!” You’re not alone. Many children feel that way, and that’s okay. But rest time is more than just a pause in the day—it’s a powerful opportunity for social-emotional growth and learning.

When I first imagined The Moxie & Me Show , I knew one thing for certain: it was never meant to be just a learning show.
