This week the Lord has been opening my eyes wider to the importance of truly sharing the Gospel. Not just speaking about Jesus casually, but helping people understand who He really is. I have been realizing that many people know about Jesus because of what someone else has told them, but they do not actually have a personal relationship with Him. Many have never truly opened the Bible for themselves to seek Him and know His heart.

Children are always learning how to understand what they think, feel, and choose—and one of the most powerful skills we can help them build early is discernment: learning the difference between thoughts that lead them toward truth, kindness, and honesty… and thoughts that lead them away from it.

As educators, we have the opportunity to build on that connection in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. And even more beautifully, we can remind children of a deeper truth: “I have called you by name, you are Mine.” — Isaiah 43:1 Every child who walks into your classroom is already known, already seen, and already loved by God.

In today’s early childhood settings, it can feel like everything revolves around academics—letters, numbers, shapes, and school readiness checklists. Educators are often asked, “Can they recognize their ABCs? Can they count to 20?”

🌱 Final Thought The resurrection is the greatest story ever told—and children are ready to receive it. When we slow down, simplify, and center everything on Jesus, we give children something far greater than a seasonal tradition… We give them truth that lasts forever.

Children are naturally curious. They ask questions adults sometimes overlook: “Who made the world?” “Where is Jesus?” “Why does Jesus love children?” Curiosity is not a distraction from learning—it is often the beginning of it.

Telling the truth is not always easy — especially for children. Sometimes honesty might mean losing a turn, disappointing a friend, or admitting a wrong decision. But truth is not just a social emotional learning skill — it is a heart posture. As parents and teachers, we are not just raising well-behaved children. We are raising children who understand integrity, courage, and obedience to Christ.

In early childhood, sticky situations happen every day. A toy won’t work the way a child expected. A zipper gets stuck. A block tower falls for the third time. Big feelings show up fast—and little bodies don’t yet have the tools to know what to do next.
