The Letter /Cc/ Moxie's Read and Grow Program~ Day 3: /Cc/ Words Everywhere

Welcome back to Day 3 of our Moxie's Read and Grow journey! Today, children will continue building confidence with the letter /Cc/ by discovering that they can recognize the letter both by its name and by its sound. Through hands-on learning, movement, repetition, and play, children will begin noticing /Cc/ words everywhere!

Before starting today’s lesson, we encourage families to review the /Cc/ Sound Chant together using the free /Cc/ Sound Poster or by watching the free instructional video led by Moxie. Repetition helps little learners grow in confidence as they connect the sound to the letter.

In today’s lesson, children will:

• Practice identifying the letter /Cc/ by name

• Hear and recognize the /c/ sound in words

• Match picture word wall cards to beginning /Cc/ sounds

• Strengthen fine motor skills by forming the letter /Cc/ with playdough

• Build confidence through repetition and familiar picture cues

The free Picture Word Wall Cards used in today’s activity include the same pictures found in the /Cc/ Sound Book, helping children make strong connections between pictures, sounds, and words in a fun and meaningful way.

Families can follow along with the instructional video or choose to print the materials and complete the activities at their own pace after watching.
