What the Lord Has Done This Week: Eyes Opened Wider to the Gospel

This week the Lord has been opening my eyes wider to the importance of truly sharing the Gospel. Not just speaking about Jesus casually, but helping people understand who He really is. I have been realizing that many people know about Jesus because of what someone else has told them, but they do not actually have a personal relationship with Him. Many have never truly opened the Bible for themselves to seek Him and know His heart.

The Lord keeps showing me that being Bible literate is more valuable than any academic accomplishment. Degrees, titles, and achievements have their place, but nothing compares to knowing the Word of God for yourself. When we read Scripture with the Holy Spirit teaching us, our eyes are opened to truths and discernment we would have never understood on our own.

One Scripture the Lord highlighted to me this week was:

“who winks maliciously with his eye, signals with his feet and motions with his fingers, who plots evil with deceit in his heart— he always stirs up conflict.”— Proverbs 16:13-14

Before truly studying the Word, someone might think winking the eye is just a simple expression or harmless gesture. But Scripture reveals that even things that seem small on the surface can carry deeper meaning. This is why discernment matters so much. The Word of God teaches us to see spiritually and not only naturally.

Another thing the Lord has been teaching me is that hearing the Word is not enough. Being a believer means becoming a doer of the Word. Obedience matters. Walking out what God says matters. The Christian life is not built only on listening to sermons or collecting Scriptures—it is built on surrender, obedience, and action.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”— James 1:22

This week I have also been learning more deeply about perseverance in faith. Sometimes I keep posting, blogging, creating videos, and sharing what the Lord places on my heart, yet I do not receive much feedback or response from people. But the Lord is teaching me that obedience is what pleases Him. I do not need to know every outcome. I do not need validation from people to continue what God has called me to do.

Faithfulness matters even when nobody claps.

Obedience first.

The Holy Spirit has been showing me that when we continue in faith with Jesus guiding us, we become aligned with the will of the Father. We can stand on prayers already answered before we even see them fully manifested because God is faithful to His Word.

One beautiful encouragement this week has been seeing the puppet show Class Act: Kindness Party begin going on tour with bookings coming in. We will not only be teaching kindness, but also showing kindness as we boast in the Lord for all He has done and all He will continue to do. Every opportunity is another chance to share the love of Jesus in action.

The message of love in action is also reflected in the Moxie video:

I Was Still Hungry - Love in Action

The Lord keeps reminding me that people are spiritually hungry. Many are searching for love, truth, peace, and belonging, but only Jesus truly satisfies. This is why sharing the Gospel matters so much. Not religion. Not performance. Relationship with Jesus Christ.

I pray that believers everywhere would grow hungry for the Word of God again, not depending only on what others say, but opening the Bible for themselves and allowing the Holy Spirit to teach them truth, wisdom, and discernment.

May we not only hear the Word.

May we live it.
